In April–May 2026, GESO completed the delivery of a GNZ-3-8/70 nitrogen booster compressor for an oil and gas project serving an offshore drilling platform in India.
The project was coordinated through an intermediary customer based in Singapore, with the end user operating in India's oil and gas industry. The application required a reliable high-pressure nitrogen compression solution capable of increasing the nitrogen pressure from 0.8 MPa to 7 MPa(g), with a nominal flow rate of 3 Nm³/min.
To meet these requirements, GESO supplied the GNZ-3-8/70, an oil-lubricated, air-cooled, four-stage reciprocating piston nitrogen compressor designed for high-pressure gas applications.
This project reflects GESO's experience in supplying specialized gas compression equipment for international customers with specific technical requirements.
The customer required a nitrogen booster compressor that could operate within the specified inlet conditions while delivering nitrogen at the required high pressure.
The main project requirements included:
The equipment package integrates the compressor unit, electric motor, gas piping system, lubrication system, instrumentation and electrical components on a common base frame. A safety venting unit is included in the gas system, while the monitoring system covers key operating parameters such as discharge pressure, oil pressure and discharge temperature.
The integrated skid-mounted design brings the main components together in a compact arrangement, helping simplify equipment layout and coordination during project implementation.
For high-pressure nitrogen applications, matching the compressor's capacity, pressure rating, cooling arrangement and power supply to the specified operating conditions is essential. GESO's solution was configured around the technical parameters provided for this project.
